I came to know Christ in 7th grade through Gordon & Eileen Brouwer who loved on a group of us kids at the Day Bible Chapel. I grew up and graduated Saranac High School in 1980. I entered Lansing Community College studying photography. My second year I got in a car accident, hit by a drunk driver. My best friend was paralyzed from the waist down from that incident. I dropped out of school to help with her therapy.

The next fall I went to Fort Wilderness, a Christian camp in northern WI. They had a Work, Study, Missions program that was just what I needed. I grew as a person and in my relationship with God. I ended up staying an additional 2 years as the Program Director for the camp. I fell in love with camping, canoeing, playing guitar, and ministry there. I then entered Trinity College in Deerfield, IL to study Youth Ministry. I got involved as an RA, then an Assistant Residence Hall Director, a Residence Hall Director, then the Associate Dean of Students.

I began to pray and ask God for direction for ministry. He lead me to start a Youth Center in Saranac. We had 12 years of effective ministry there. God then led a group of us to start a camp in Saranac and Branch Adventures was birthed. During my time back in Saranac I got involved as a middle school youth leader and worship leader at my Church.

Gordon Kettel asked me to pray for his new Church plant. God began speaking to me about moving to Grand Ledge and being a part of the Church there. I love his vision for serving the community and living life biblically in a community.

I have been involved with the Saranac Area Volunteer Fire Department as a medical first responder for many years. I am a volunteer with Compassion International, a child sponsorship program working in 24 developing countries around the world. I enjoy photography, scrapbooking, canoeing, sitting around a campfire, hanging out with friends and playing guitar. I especially love watching God work transform lives. That is what I'm loving about imagine this LLC.
